I rode in the Symmetrics team car yesterday. Symmetrics is a Canadian team with a lot of heart They are 3rd overall on the GC with Svein Tuft behind Columbia and Garmin. There total yearly budget is less than what some of the riders from those two team make in a year. They get the job done with a low budget, but lots of talent. Tour of Missouri stage 4

An incredible stage! Columbia’s Barry was the recipient of some extremely aggressive team riding. A big break finally went after the 2nd KOM. I was in the Sparkasse team car today, which was a good one because they had 4 guys in the move. Eric Baumann from the team ended up 2nd. Barry soloed in 46″ ahead. Whoop Ass

A can of it will be opened tomorrow by Liquigas and/or Columbia. I am looking forward to see how Garmin can defend against it. How many attacks can VDV cover? Will Columbia ride for Rogers or Hincapie? What is Liquigas’ play with Nibali? We should find out tomorrow. The bit of the course north of I-44 is super hilly. It will not be an easy day.
