Contador learns to speak Borat.

Soooo, Contador has firmed up his agreement with team Kazakaboratvinovelo. HIs new DS’s will be Giuseppe Martinelli and Bontempi. Mmmm, let’s look at Martinelli’s cv: he raced for Jollyceramica, Magniflex, San Giacomo, Santini (I think with Bontempi), Selle San Marco, Alfa Lum, and Alpilatte-Cierre. He has directed teams who’s riders included – Pantani, nabbed for doping, deceased; Garzelli, positive tests, part of the Mapei mafia; Simoni, cocaine positive; Cunego, still going, good rider, no positives. So, the team will most likely be filled out with good, loyal Italians and a few guys from the most glorious country of Kazakhstan. Just in case Contador has not learned to speak Italian or Kazak yet, here’s some footage of a recent race with Spanish subtitles.

Aren’t teammates great?  There is some back story to this, dominant young rider, last race for cagey vet for long time team- in the end, no gifts!

In this lovey-dovey podcast we  talk about KFC’s bucket of wins & Bert’s bucket of Euros on offer to race for Astana, but first, John G greets in his best haggis eating accent the he does a podcast reset. Local news has John G sitting tight, John K hitting the deck. & a relativley light listener feedback segment that is not Fun Run Robbie Free.  Actually, this podcast is over-run with Scot references.  LeGimp shares his source of Scot translator, Fun Run wants advice of how to get his after school cycling program rolling, Cannondale Commuter wants to fight the power, and Jen Sprokets tells a tale of what moves in in our absence.   As usual, we have to unplug & replug our mics on the fly.  Enjoy!
