Update on the chilly nether regions thing that was covered in this ‘cast.
I didn’t go for the newspaper as you suggested. Instead I found a crappy old pair of black non-bib shorts with a thin padding. On their own, useless for cycling. But under my usual bib-shorts: kept the chill wind off my sensitive areas. So: two pairs of shorts- surely that’s OK style-wise?
Did a 100k group ride in freezing fog this morning with 2 pairs of shorts and it worked well.
