Standard Podcast: Play Now | Play in Popup | Download (173)Is John looking for the latest podcast? No! He’s looking for a feed or a bottle or something. He knows all his compatriots are having drinks and having a good ole time, but where’s his? Hear about this, plus the Two Johns thoughts on the spring season wrap up, Rebellin getting implicated, local news, John K goes to Georgia, John G sees the world- or at least the wind swept corn fields of Ohio and we both tell about it. This week we receive communique from F.R.R. (who sends twice), Z Man flexes his muscles, reverser nodders & race facing again, what should I drink?, open clinchers, why don’t more ride them?, and a return from a very special contributor who gets his own theme music. We break format; feedback of the week is selected and given the choice of slipstreams OR socks- the choice is yours! All this & more in this, the 81st edition of the Two Johns Podcast.

King hubs do not offer a campy cassette body. But you can get a 9 speed shimano spaced cassette to work fine. Just use the limit screw to lock out the lowest cog, and start by adjusting the chain in the 5th cog.

Okay I already e-mailed this to you guys, but then I found your blog!! Here ya go:
In response to the questions regarding open tubulars…. One benefit to a tubular is that it allows a nearly perfect round shape of tire on the rim whereas a clincher is forced into more of a teardrop shape. The roundness of a tubular allows for more contact to the ground, thus better ride quality/grip/performance etc. The Vittoria open clincher attempts to achieve the roundness of the tubular. Deda also makes an open clincher, the RS Corsa, which customers at the shop I manage seem to prefer over the Vittoria. Hope this enlightens you!

PS It’s your podcast, however I would like to suggest that you recommend people be fitted for a frame before choosing, not recommend by brand. A Cervelo (as you mentioned in the podcast) might not be the best fit based on their measurements.

where is the z-man pic? i came on here to compare guns but was disappointed…
i might send a topless pic of myself but I have lost a lot of weight since the last podcast as I have been training so hard, so i think I would lose a “guns-off” with the z-man.

Personally, I like the ‘chicken arms/T-Rex/light ABOVE the belt’ effect on a cyclist – put your money where it counts~!
