Special Guests: SRAM’s Ed Nasjleti & Olympian Jame Carney, part 1 of 2 with both of them
This up-tempo podcast is jam packed with our takes on Paris-Nice & Tour preparations, local for Vegas John is the desert, John K avoids the siren & the Two Johns go their separate ways. Interviews that are broken into two:- get the SRAM story from Ed & Jame talks about developing racing in the US. A brisk listener feedback has the Cycling Soldier talk about race prep, TT Diva asks about frame choice for women, best bike blog ever will hold off on donning the two john’s socks, Knight Rider asks 3, we give the low down on typical 3’s racing & Kenny Loggins likeness shows up in our mailbox.
See what’s inside. The next podcast will have part 2 of both interviews.
Here we see Kenny Loggins & the Mrs Binky

Would of enjoyed the interview with Jame…if I could of heard it. JK if the microphone is your house and your asking questions while you’re in the scary “rubs-the-lotion-on-its-skin” crawl space, we can’t hear you.

My apologies. A few minutes into it I inadvertently goofed with the balance… I am trying to figure out how to increase the volume before putting it back in the podcast. I will figure it out and likely post the entire interview once I get the volume increased.

As the race season begins in parts of the world not blessed with warm temps and abundant sunshine…ie. non-desert…here is a nice tutorial for all the 2JP listeners who will be on the podium this year.

For the time trial diva…I’d recommend two options. (Not Italian bike makers) but two I think are excellent choices for the female who races.
1) Trek Project One Madone. They now sell a top of the line madone in the WSD fit. You can choose your frame colors, components, wheels, you name it. Project One Frames are made in the USA in Wisconsin. I’m told that women only actually do the molding in their factory. (Could be smaller hands or attention to detail…I dunno.) Trek stands behind their frames (lifetime warranty).
2) Ridley Asteria, never seem this bike in person but the promise of good geometry for a woman seems logical. You should be able to get one in the USA as QBP (distributor/supplier to bike shops) is importing them now.

…don’t buy a $12k Trek.

Podcasting brilliance. I would sample the desert dog’s dog and make it a regular bumper. So, when John K. reads the 10th email, the dog barks, and the podcast is fini. First podcast I have heard that the babe didn’t win. We love Kenny Loggins and danger John. Get out and log miles.

The Madones aren’t $12k. You can’t get one well spec’d out for $4-5,000.

Look has a WSD frame out now…only $2,995…with pink decals. Puke.

Just listened to this. To “Italian designed, German engineered” – I had kind of a similar problem, my knee that got operated upon is tender on the inside and hurts when the other knee is on it. I started sleeping with a pillow between your leg and this solved the problem.

I agree with Scottagecheese. No more treks.
Please remind people to have their trek spade or neutered

I’m not gonna win this argument. To each their own.
