This Saturday is the 100th Milan-Sanremo.

A pair of Defeet Slipstreams goes to whomever names the winner as long as it is not one of these three: Tom Boonen, Mark Cavendish or Alessandro Petacchi.
Will it be a bunch sprint?
Or will it be cheeky riding as in 1992.

Hey, what happens if Boonen, Cav or Petaachi actually DO win tho?
Next week: The Two Johns give away a Cervelo RS to the first person to name the rider who won 7 Tours de France. But only if it’s not HWSNBN…
(Um, even if Ciolek triumphs with an epic all-day solo breakaway, there’s no way I’m gonna win the Slipstreams now, right?)

Tyler Farrar

If Boonen is not a choice I must go Italian .
Filippo Pozzato to win it !

Gilbert — they need a win badly.

What about david mouncotia, the two johns are always saying how good hi is!

I’ll have to agree with Ron and make a sentimental pick: Tyler Farrar. The kid is coming on.
March 19th, 2009 at 12:08 pm
Moncoutie is not starting. I am with Clam Chowder, Gilbert is my pick. The three I excluded are the favorites- where’s the fun in winning by being the guy that picked the favorites? Certainly not swag deserving!

I do feel a bit guilty about my Bennati pick, he’s probably a top fiver, not too bold of a pick. I’d love to see a win from one of those hammerheads like Gilbert, Voigt, Ignatev, Flecha or some other “go forth and suffer” type. My head tells me different though. A sprint from 10-30 is likely.

Who gets the socks?????
Since my pick did not even start I think I should get them.
March 23rd, 2009 at 6:13 am
Cheesehead should get them? He picked 1st placed finisher after Cav.
March 23rd, 2009 at 7:19 am
Zman & Cheesehead were oh so close with their Haussler picks… but not quite enough as Cavendish took it. We’ll do more picks for upcoming races without the exclusions of all the favorites. Maybe what we will do is you can pick the favorite for a pat on the back & bragging rights or you can pick off the menu for the chance to win swag.
Next chance: April 5th, Ronde van Vlaanderen.
