Special Guest:  Tyler Wren

It’s all change for the Two Johns these days- new blog layout, new guests, new season & new microphones.  We get acquainted with the changes in the lastest podcast where we make our Tour of Califormia predictions, John G rocks up in the gym, John K gets the map out & prepares for warm weather ride, Interview with Tyler Wren & of course feedback with such luminaries as Scottish (off) Roadie, Sacramento Roadie, The Misplaced Pedaler & Short Hair Hippie – questions are asked, observations made & quack advice given.  The chaser to this average length podcast is John G’s return of the rant.

tyler-wren3I interview Tyler Wren from the mighty Colavita Sutter Home Pro Cycling Team. They’ve got a few surprises in store for the pros in ‘09 and Tyler has a good head on his shoulders for the business of bicycle racing. This interview will be included in our next full-length podcast.

Numb

hog6 more @#$%**! weeks… Are you kidding me?!? Of course it doesn’t matter to Phil, he’s covered in fur. fullgroup It doesn’t matter to these chuckleheads either. Their outdoor activities probably consist of getting the mail and walking across the Walmart parking lot. I’ve got your gobblers knob right here boys. These guys need to be a bit more careful before flinging around predictions of a month and a half more winter. Usually by this time in the year I’ve been down to the Orlando area for a week of training and a few races. Their season hots up on Jan. 1. I’d also be thinking about a trip out to the dog pound to see Mr. Desert Dog in Scottsdale, AZ. Alas… money, planning, the delusion that I can do it chained to the trainer whilst watching the same cycling videos over and over again. Duclo beats Ballerini, Boonen rides away from Hincapie, Museeuw wins again. Nothing changes, never moving, no different scenery, basement sweat dripping off my nose, the same scene replaying over and over… Wait, it’s like that movie with Bill Murray where he wakes up and relives the same day over and over again. What was that called?
