For the love of God, guys! What with the 4 hour mega-cast the other week and the fact that it usually takes me 2 daily commutes to listen to a normal podcast, it seems that I’m already spending more time with you pair than with Mrs Stumpy Rider. Mind you, since this latest one came early, can I say “don’t worry, we can try again in a minute”?

Hey, regarding the training logs discussion, folks should use Sporttracks. It’s free, is compatible with power and Garmin stuff. Has more features than any other software I’ve used. Connects Garmin with Google Maps, records temperature from weather.com and is almost entirely customizable. (I’m not affiliated, it’s just a great product).
Landis and Lance are both tools.

Love the way you guys refuse to talk about ‘you know who’ until he has done something interesting and then go on for 10 mins about a local x race where you came in 5th!!! Priceless

That IS exactly why the 2JPC is cool. They aren’t indulging the typical Disco-Clad Madone-Riding Fred’s dope-fueled man-crush on he-who-shall-not-be-named. They even talk about actual races not just euro fairy tales. I don’t mind a some pro news but the HWSNBN stuff is nuts.
I’m pissed at cycling.tv. We get all the Tour Down Under (Tour du HWSNBN) we can take but no mention of Compton kicking ass in Belgium. That’s a pretty big deal. You go win a race in Belgium! Those bastages (an bastagettes?) don’t mess around.

Johnboys,
I heard you mention some vintage posters on the latest show and thought you might find some of this vintage material intesting. There is a LOT of stuff here…some cool some maybe just old. This was in an email from RoadbikeRider.com
Enjoy the program.
—Howie Cohen’s parents founded a bicycle shop in 1939 and he’s been involved in cycling his whole life. Since the 1950s he’s avidly collected anything related to bikes. A few months ago he began categorizing the items, taking pictures, scanning, writing descriptions and putting them on a website called Howie Cohen’s Everything Bicycles Collection. More than 3,600 items are shown on the just-launched site, and Cohen says “many thousands” more will be joining them. You’ll find this amazing display at http://www.HowieBikeMan.com

Say what you will about the man — personally I cold do without his big comeback myself — but we have daily coverage of the Tour Down Under and start-to-finish coverage of the Tour of California because of him — maybe we’ll even get coverage of the Giro with the commentators actually in Italy. If you need a Belgian fix, don’t worry, L-B-L is on the man’s calendar.

Oh I think he’s helping the sport in general but everyone else’s stories are getting trampled. Too bad he didn’t choose the rescue the TdGeorgia.
HWSNBN reaching in his pocket for a gel while twittering live from the pack is bigger news than anything else in cycling right now. Everyone is going to groan at the mention of his name by tour time.

JG, Adam Ant was cartoon from the 60’s. I think that’s what the bagel lady is referring to. To the rest, I bought an issue of PRO CYCLING(British) just so I could read about Dave Zabriskie(on the cover amazingly). Of course there is one on Mr. Unmentionable as well. You just cant get away. (ARGHH!! I’m a man, not a number!!)

Err. Correction… it’s Atom Ant.

Adam and the Ants were one of my favorites in Jr High and High School back in the 80’s. Alas, unlike some of my favorites from that era (like The Clash – bumper music for technology), their music has not held up well over the years.

2Js,
Way too long for a reply, but appreciate the suggestions for my questions. Got a cool new bike stand and am anxious to get an item from jackwoodgalleries.com. Thanks much!
