Listener submitted photo from The Road Nazi.  I don’t think that in neither Cincinnati nor Charlotte do we have the street bike mechanic.  Look at all those wheels!

The podcast is back.  This time we skip international, talk the Green Monster at Louisville Cross races, hear from Binachi USA’s Will Mahler, should Pommes ride the master’s race?, what do we use to clean our chains?, what is the deal with magpies?  can you train your recovery interval? & how can I find a man to ride with & bake cookies for that doesn’t try to drop me on a ride?  All this & much, much more in the latest installment of the podcast.

Ready, Aim, Fire

Stop #9 on the Ohio Valley Cyclocross Series takes place this weekend here in Cincinnati at a gun club. I get to announce, fire a shotgun, and race all in the same day. Thanks very much to podcast listener James for designing this most awesome poster.

Floyd’s New Ride

In his bid to return to the (domestic) Pro Peleton, Floyd Landis shows off his new team bike. Landis said, “It’s really easy on my replacement hip joint and, if I’m in the break, nobody can draft off of me.” When asked what he was doing on his iPhone he reported, “I’m just checking out the latest edition of the 2 Johns Podcast.”

Papa John’s Derby City Cup – Oct. 25 & 26

Do you know that scene in ‘Breaking Away’ when Dave overcomes his misery and agrees to ride in the Little 5?  He gets that crappy, AMF, race issue bike dropped at his feet and gets it race worthy?  That is a brilliant scene – it is the ‘every mechanic’.  I can’t imagine a mechanic that doesn’t identify with at least one part of that scene.

In this latest podcast, Cunego wins in Como ancora, John kicks off the NC cross series, John preps for the gun club and promotes the Louisville races, Kurosawa/Scorsese connection, lots of listener feedback including Western Superfan, do we work on our own bikes?, Scottish Roadie, John gets taken to task, camelback love,  & lots & lots of questions the the Two Johns attempt to answer.
