Vanity Fair? Lance needs to get off his Estrogen program and back onto the Testosterone.

I think many people have missed the point with Lance coming back re doping; FRS healthy energy anyone? Those tacky ads all over Velo News for the uninitiated. I saw this stuff at Lance’s Mellow Johnny’s shop the other day, it must be as expensive as epo; a pack of fruit chew things was $23 or so.

    Guys,
you forgot about mentioning the CAP CITY CROSS race was in Newark, OH with the biggest turnout ever for the race series. IT was on saturday before the Loveland OVCX race. I didn’t go, but I heard it was great.

To the emailer with the leg problem. Try seeing if what you have is a leg length discrepancy. Most people have a minor length difference (1/8 to 1/2 even some times larger). Also if maybe one of your feet cants out or in at an angle. This will make the other leg effectively longer if it sits flat on the pedal compared to the other. Lemond Fitness makes angled shims(under your cleat) to help you add length or angle to your foot. I tried them this year and for the first time my pedal stroke and power difference issue were straightened out. Good luck!

    Leg problem emailer:
I have roughly a 3/8 difference and through using the Lemond/Big Meat Shims and careful fore/aft placement I can mitigate the effects. My feet are also different sizes to further confuse everything. Check out the form and fitness Q&A on cyclingnews.com. Steven Hogg discusses these problems frequently and gives good advice. Scribe or mark your shoes and cleats, write down what you do to them and start adjusting in small steps. It’ll take a few trys at minimum.

Johns, thanks for the mention. It’s nice to air out my rotten attitude among some C-category internet super-stars! If you guys were any more famous I couldn’t risk my secret identity! Keep it on the low-down fellas.

  7. Hot Beth says:

    I totally got hosed.
