What have we done- I mean what has John G. done? This mutated beast was submitted by an astute listener- this half cross/half time trial rig was spotted near Bigfoot’s campsite. These are known to be highly elusive and potentially dangerous, approach with caution if you encounter such a vehicle.
In this post Interbike podcast the Two Johns recap the Squadra Azzrurri domination in Varese, Cross Vegas, Interbike and the usual quality listener feedback from the likes of a refined Brit named ‘Grey*******’, a very emotional message about a bike possibly crying, what WAS Greg doing?, and a mail bag full of other good questions, answers and comments. As usual the listener feedback of the week is rewarded with a pair or two of Defeet Slipstreams & socks.
It’s a strange and wonderful place, but after 2 days on the floor, one square meal a day, the din of of noise, lukewarm PBR’s, 4 guys to a room, and almost running out of business cards I am glad to be back. The weirdest part of the show has got to be the LeMond v. Lance thing on Thursday morning. We’ve had some listener email on the subject, so I guess I’ll save the commentary until then. The “Lance Factor” in general was sort of strange. We interviewed a bunch of people at the cross race re. the subject and most were indifferent.
Although draining, the show was very productive for the 2 Johns and Missing Saddle. We’ve lined up some good interviewees and will do some cool product reviews in the near future. Thanks to CZ and to those who gave me a 2 Johns shout out.
So much to chose from these days. Start lifting, train for cyclocross, re-seal the garage floor… I am off to the Las Vegas Interbike Cycling Expo Tradeshow and its related races.
