Nothing to do with cyclocross, but what ever happened to the Two Johns sit up contest? Did one of the Johns get cold feet?

Interesting…some of the Belgians are shouldering on the left shoulder up the stairs. John, I think Western Superfan is talking about your cold feet.

yeah, the shouldering on the left technique has always been a mystery to me. Why do it? Is is it that that is the way the learned? Is there some reason for it? Seems like you’d finish every race with at least a big chainring grease imprint on the back of your skinsuit, or lose some flesh from the teeth.
I guess it would be helpful to know how to do both sides in case of a section that required a left side dismount and carry. Other than that…
